Over 1200 ROWS of cars, slowly being taken back. Everything from Model A’s and International Scouts to 59 Impalas and litteral piles of mustangs. A full post will come as soon as I figure out how to get you to over 300 photos. Have a few to tie you over.
Corvair 95 van!
Former US army Chevrolet.
A Mercury Bobcat! When was the last time you saw one of those!?
The thing is about this place is that it ISNT a pick and pull. It’s private property that you need to be invited to. Nearly everything is so far gone and over grown I doubt there is any whole car worth saving.
This is a grave yard, and all this old iron deserves the respect associated with that.
This is the most appropriate use of this poem I’ve seen. I’m fairly sure it came from someone one Oppo, chime in if its yours.
Quietly tread through the fields
The ghosts of the past surround you
Sitting, waiting for salvation that may never come
Thoughts of moonlit nights and winding roads
Mix with the memory of engines at full song
Step lightly
And leave the warriors to their slumber.

I don’t get why people can’t cover them and do some kind of preventative measures. The glass in some of them might be pretty rare for others doing restorations. Getting glass made for some models is really expensive and hard to do.

Something about pictures like this is really cool to me. Too far gone to save so it interesting to see the earth take back what it gave to us

I’m sure some could be saved. Probably not worth it, but possible.

Make an imgur, Flickr, 500px, OneDrive, etc. album and link it. Easiest way for big uploads.

Plymouth Barracuda 1st gen. Not sure how much its glass is worth, but I’m willing to say upwards of a few thousand.

Yeah for sure, I see a lady DD one of those in SF. I saw a road rally car style build in LA once.

That’s the crazy thing, most of the glass was mint! There was a 14 window Ford Econiline van with every window still intact.

GOD DAMN. That’s probably $3000-5000 worth of glass.
